The Granata Lab has a pressure sensing walkway (emed xl, novel electronics inc., St. Paul, MN) that can measure various barefoot plantar loading measures including, but not limited to, pressure, force, contact area, and contact time. This device can be used in the lab or taken to other testing environments due to it's portable nature and accopmanying foam walkway to level the walking surface to the pressure plate.
